StayDublin in ChatGPT and Claude

Ask an AI assistant for a room in Dublin and it can check our live availability for your dates, then give you a link to enquire.

What it does

The StayDublin connector lets an assistant search the furnished rooms, studios and apartments we let in Dublin: what is free for your move-in date and length of stay, the monthly price, when each home comes free, and a link that opens our enquiry form with your dates already filled in. Three-month minimum stay. WiFi, bins and water are included; electricity is a pre-pay meter.

Add it

  • Server URL: https://staydublin.ie/assistant/mcp (Model Context Protocol, streamable HTTP)
  • Authentication: none
  • Claude: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, paste the URL.
  • ChatGPT: add the StayDublin app from the app directory, or in developer mode create an app with the URL above.
  • Other assistants: the same data is described as an OpenAPI file at /assistant/openapi.json.

Tools

  • search_rooms: Live list of StayDublin homes free for a stay in Dublin. move_in (YYYY-MM-DD, default today), months (2 to 12) or move_out, kind (room, private_room, twin, studio, apartment, house, whole_home), max_price (euro per month). Returns homes that fit the whole stay with price, photo and an enquiry link, plus homes free a little later.
  • get_home: Details of one StayDublin home by id: type, area, price, when it is free, photo, link.
  • enquiry_link: A link to the home's page with the enquiry form filled in (dates, group size, a note). The person enters their own name, email and phone on that page.
  • about: Prices, minimum stay, deposit, what is included, who can apply and how booking works.

Every tool is read-only. Nothing can be booked, reserved or paid for through an assistant.

Privacy

The assistant sends us only the search: dates or length of stay, type of home, budget, how many people and, if you ask, a short note for the enquiry form. It never sends your name, email or phone number, and we do not store the search; we keep only a daily count of searches. You enter your own details on our website if you decide to enquire.
