About StayDublin
StayDublin is a furnished accommodation provider that lets rooms, studios and apartments in Dublin by the month, from three months, to students, interns and workers. Every home is let directly by the people who look after it. StayDublin is powered by Delaney Group Developments.
What StayDublin does
Rooms in shared properties
Twin rooms and private en-suite rooms in well-kept shared properties in Dublin 1 and Dublin 7, furnished, with bedding provided and a shared kitchen and living room. The lowest-cost way to live within walking distance of TU Dublin Grangegorman and the city centre.
Studios and apartments
Self-contained studios, one-bed and two-bed apartments for couples, colleagues sharing, or anyone who wants their own front door. Furnished and equipped, so you arrive with a suitcase.
Stays by the month
A semester, a placement, a contract or a year. Every stay is on a licence to occupy agreement with a three-month minimum, and you extend month by month as long as the room is not already promised to somebody else.
What makes StayDublin different
Let directly, no agency
The people who own and maintain the buildings are the people who let them. There is no agency fee and one point of contact from enquiry to keys. Most listing sites in Dublin put an agent, and an agent's fee, between you and the room.
WiFi, bins and water in the rent
The rent includes WiFi, bin collection and water. Electricity is a pre-pay meter, so you pay only for what you use and never get a surprise bill at the end of a stay.
Three months, not twelve
Standard Dublin tenancies ask for a year and a guarantor. StayDublin's licence to occupy runs from three months, with no Irish guarantor or bank account needed, which is what a visiting student or a placement actually requires.
Honest availability
The website shows what is genuinely free and from which date, worked out from the real bookings, room by room. A room that is empty this week but let again next month is shown as booked, not as available.
Small and local
A portfolio of houses and apartments in a few north inner city neighbourhoods, run by a small team who know every building. That is the trade-off against the large purpose-built blocks: fewer facilities, lower rent, and a person who answers.
Who rents with StayDublin
- Students at TU Dublin, Trinity, DCU, DBS, Griffith and the city-centre language schools, for a semester or the academic year.
- Erasmus and exchange students arranging a room before they land in Ireland.
- Interns and people on graduate programmes, clinical and teaching placements, for the exact length of the placement.
- Nurses, doctors and agency healthcare staff on rotation at the Mater, the Rotunda, Temple Street and St James's.
- People relocating to Dublin for work who want a furnished base for a few months while they find their feet.
The team behind StayDublin
StayDublin is powered by Delaney Group Developments, a Dublin property company that buys houses in the north inner city, converts them into good rooms, studios and apartments, and keeps them. StayDublin is how those homes are let: directly, by the month, to the people described above. Enquiries are answered by Brian, the accommodation manager, who agrees stays and looks after tenants once they are in. Our website and marketing are run with AuraicPulse.
How it works
- Browse the homes on the listings page and send an enquiry from any of them, with your move-in date and how long you plan to stay. No account is needed.
- A person replies by email with what is genuinely free for your dates, with photos of the room if you would like them.
- The stay is agreed in writing on a licence to occupy agreement. The deposit and the first month's rent are paid by bank transfer.
- You collect the keys on move-in day. Rent is paid monthly by bank transfer, and the same team looks after the building throughout your stay.
All contact is by email at [email protected] or through the enquiry form on any listing.
